On Thursday, December 6, the U.S. Census Bureau released demographic data for small communities across the nation. This is part of the Bureau’s American Community Survey.
Huron’s Median Household Income grew by 14.9%, from $64,189 (2012) to $73,725 (2017). Furthermore, Huron’s Poverty Rates dropped by 5.2%, from 13.4 (2012) to 8.2% (2017).
Huron’s Poverty Rate outcome was considered statistically significant when accounting for the margin of error. This U.S. census data for smaller communities are five-year averages because the census collects data through a survey and margins of errors typically are larger.
